Supporting Marketing Content Manager by being the voice for content as part of campaigns integrated response teams.
Managing content production for key UQ campaigns – working with copywriters, videographers, social media, marketing automation, digital performance, and creative.
Xap
Head of Marketing (2022 - 2023)
Led and managed all aspects of marketing for Xap, a SaaS platform for early learning providers in Australia.
Remit included social, website, customer comms, events, graphic design, and videography, plus managing one direct report (part-time Marketing Exec).
Key achievements:
Managed a full website refresh to bring more warmth into the brand and appeal to an early learning environment.
Increased reach of monthly Facebook campaigns from 100,000 to 500,000 within 6 months with only small increases in ad spend. Also reduced CPC by 50% within that time.
Devised email campaign (series of four emails) to a cold database of early learning centres – delivered 1,000+ engaged prospects into the sales pipeline. The final email in the series achieved a 70% open rate.
Produced a wonderfully emotional customer story video with the largest early learning provider in Australia – Goodstart Early Learning.
Microba
Content Strategist (2022 - 2022)
Took ownership of the consumer channels for Microba Insight – a D2C gut microbiome test.
Oversaw performance marketing strategies across Google Ads and Facebook.
Managed all content production for the website, blog, and social channels.
Worked closely with science teams to help translate their messages to a consumer audience

Devised a win-back campaign that saw a significant spike in sales with previous testers.

The Recognition Group
Marketing Manager (2021 - 2022)
Ownership of the marketing function for the entire Recognition Group covering Recognition PR, Outsource, and Write Away Communications.
Oversaw all campaign activity across social media and industry publications.
Managed all content and design work for marketing collateral and campaign creative.
Mentored and worked closely with Marketing Exec.
Key achievements:
Managed four separate websites, including the relaunch of two - Write Away and Outsource.
Built and launched a media directory for the built environment industry – lead gen tool for Write Away.
Finite Recruitment
Marketing Manager (2021 - 2021)
Ownership of the marketing function for the entire Finite Group covering Finite Recruitment, FinXL and Rowben in Australia, and Finite920 in New Zealand.
Handled everything from managing social channels, updating websites, optimising copy for job adverts through to external newsletters, and sending internal comms.
Using a variety of tools like MailChimp, SurveyMonkey, Google Analytics, Canva, WordPress, and Volcanic.
Key achievements:
Launched new Finite.com.au website.
Hired and onboarded part-time Graphic Designer position.
NSW Department of Customer Service
Content Designer (2021 - 2021)
Part of the Digital Channels Team that is working on a large-scale migration project of roughly 500 websites into one portal – nsw.gov.au.
Working on website optimisation, cleaning up the CMS (Drupal), producing news articles from media releases, and migrating content from various agencies onto the main site.
Successfully helped migrate Visa and Migration into the nsw.gov.au portal.
Public Address
Senior Marketing Manager (2020 - 2020)
Helping to launch Public Address – a SaaS platform aimed at the PR/Comms sector.
Initially worked on optimising the website, set up automation journeys for trialists through Active Campaign, and on social advertising concepts for Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Implementing a marketing strategy focussing on bringing on users to help build scale quickly for the business.
Have worked closely with the Founder to guide him through changes in approach, tone of voice, and the ideal channels to market.
Optus
B2B Content Marketing Manager (2017 - 2019)
Employed to develop a strategic direction for a blog platform for Optus Enterprise and as such, I prepared a comprehensive content marketing strategy document (90 slides long) for implementation.
Had full ownership over the content platform, Accelerate, plus led out all the customer stories for the business as well.
Nurtured, mentored, and supported junior team members in marketing best practices.
Key achievements:
Grew this platform to have around 30,000-50,000 unique page views every month, plus launched a podcast, On Point, for the brand, which was a first across the Optus group.
I devised a nurture strategy and program to enable the business to be utilising Marketo more effectively.
Devised and implemented a mobility campaign based on a 5G report. Advised on creative, created all nurture materials, and helped with measurement and optimisation.
Produced all content for campaigns run in AFR (True Leaders - Game Changers), for our involvement in the Commonwealth Games, and one of our biggest partners, Cisco.
Mahlab
Senior Content Consultant (2016 - 2017)
Mahlab is a leading content marketing agency that has been working with a range of high-profile Australian clients for the past 20 years.
Contract role to help with Mahlab's business development and account management function.
Worked with Cisco on several content projects (editorial, video and design), as well as delivering a content strategy playbook.
Delivered a content project for Salmat to promote a new annual research report - Salmat Midtier Marketing Index - that led to a much wider scope of work starting with them.
Helped CPA with two content projects to help them deliver a better digital experience to their readers.
IDIO
Content Strategy Consultant (2015 - 2016)
Idio is a software platform that uses machine learning and natural language processing to gain more insight into users (on a topic level) based on the content they engage with.
Utilising my knowledge of content strategy and content marketing, I was working on a selected 50 accounts to showcase Idio’s technology and it how can be used to gain more insight into a brands’ users.
Gained a solid understanding of AI and how it can be used across the marketing function, plus how it can integrate with marketing automation software.
King Content
Content Marketing Consultant (2015 - 2015)
King Content is a global content marketing agency that focuses on content strategy, production, amplification and measurement.
Helped establish the UK office of King Content and grow its brand awareness in the region.
Worked with Bupa to deliver a content campaign aimed at their SMB audience. Also ran a native advertising campaign with Flight Centre in partnership with Destination NSW.
Established blogging process for the UK team. Have written and published several pieces through King Content site and LinkedIn.
Press Association
Content Consultant - Content for Marketing (2012 - 2015)
Sticky Content was acquired by the Press Association in 2014. It is a leading UK copywriting and content strategy agency that has been in business since 1997.
Worked with a wide range of leading UK companies to fulfill their content strategy and content production needs. Companies included Aviva, Nationwide, Unum, Investec, Deloitte, Johnson & Johnson, and British Gas.
Consulted with clients about their various copywriting, content marketing, and content strategy needs.
Constantly was ahead of sales targets and responsible for bringing on many of the clients that remain with Sticky Content today.
Lyonsdown Limited
Project Manager (2010 - 2012)
Lyonsdown is a media company that produces supplements for national press. It currently holds an exclusive arrangement with The Telegraph and also works with the Guardian and The Independent in the UK and the FT Deutschland in Germany.
I successfully worked on six projects with Lyonsdown. I worked on two Broadcasting supplements, as well as ones on Connected TV, eHealth and AV Communications. My role as project manager was primarily a phone based sales role where I took potential clients through a consultative sales approach for them to book a range of sponsorship options within the supplements.
On all of my projects I sourced all of my own leads and was solely responsible for bringing all of the business, which have all been on or above target. I also attended several meetings with a range of clients, as well as travelling to exhibitions in London, Amsterdam (twice) and Las Vegas to meet multiple clients in one location. I successfully booked major companies like Sony, Motorola, Snell, Pace, O2, Blackberry and Intel.
