Working for two not-for-profit research programs, Kerryn restructured and maintained the websites and social media channels, wrote and edited a wide variety of digital and non-digital materials, coordinated webinars, and handled public and private members' enquiries.

Communications Branch Director (2014 - 2018)

During this period Kerryn was temporarily promoted to Branch Director of the wider communications or education branch multiple times while senior manager were on leave. During these periods she gained significant experience in program, project, financial and staff management. From 2016, she permanently led the education (outreach) unit, developing curriculum-linked engaging resources for schools. She also project managed events at major public venues such as Questacon and ScienceAlive! in Adelaide. She presented at schools, conferences and at exhibitions.

Kerryn also used business systems to track risks and media opportunities, contracted staff, undertook performance reviews, and managed budgets and reporting. She also managed a $250,000 market research project to better profile and target stakeholders for her organisation, and worked with the Aboriginal Partnerships team to develop culturally appropriate products..
