Built the website using SEO knowledge gained since 2009, to create a site that ranks number one internationally and converts well for various key terms, all with minimal linking. Focus on copy and on-page SEO in line with Google Search Console guidelines is how success was achieved.

Area Sales Manager (2004 - current)

Tasked with obtaining new business, managing and retaining existing business within an increasingly competitive market, plus frontline customer service in the field. The position was field-based with the area covered being Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire.

Pre-qualified leads were the main source of new business, coming from a variety of sources including yellow pages; achieving a personal conversion ratio of around 70%. Each customer offer was tailored to best suit their needs.

Targeted New Business for the year being 240 tonnes (a figure was second highest in the existing sales force), of which more half had been gained within five months. A high degree of technical know

how regarding properties and safety limitations of LPG as a Gas was required in line with LPG Association guidelines which had to be strictly adhered.

Within the role, I was responsible for over 3500 customers, ranging from small domestic, large premier domestic, and also various businesses. In terms of the management of existing customers I had compiled a list of all customers within the area and placed priority on how often client contact was required.

As far as retention was concerned inherited an area that had been badly serviced for the previous five years, as such service issues and ill-feeling were rife, however, I resolved issues with the customer's clients concerned through negotiation to a level where the area was starting to run smoothly again. The role also required local advertising and networking to build contacts and competitive advantage.
